What we are

Luowei Medical Aesthetics Clinic is a medical aesthetics clinic in Nanjing, China. The work is non-surgical: injectables, regenerative treatment, energy-based devices and medical skin care. Consultations are by appointment, and most patients reach us through a free video consultation before they ever book a flight.

This page is not the story of the clinic. It is the set of decisions the clinic is built on — because those are the part you can actually check, and because a page of history would tell you less than a page of commitments.

Five decisions

01 · One way to reach us

There is one form, one inbox and no phone number, chat widget or messaging app. Nothing on this site asks for a card, and there is no second channel staffed by someone else.

Why it matters to you: a clinic with five channels answers five ways, and the answer you get depends on who happened to open which one. One channel means one place where a message can be lost, and it means the person who answers has read all of it.

02 · The physician who consults you does the work

Not a technician, not a nurse substituting, not whoever is free that day. Your physician’s registration can be looked up on China’s National Health Commission public registry, and you can ask for the number before you book so you can confirm it independently rather than taking our word for it.

Why it matters to you: this is the difference between a treatment plan and a treatment. A plan written by one person and performed by another is a plan nobody owns.

03 · You check the device and the product yourself

Before anything is used, two things happen in front of you: the manufacturer’s code on the handpiece is checked against that device’s registration, and the registration on the vial or syringe is read with the batch visible on the packaging. If a code does not resolve, or the packaging does not match what you were quoted, treatment stops there and nothing is charged.

Why it matters to you: a guarantee that a product is genuine is a sentence. A code you read on your own phone is a fact.

04 · The quotation is written, and it does not move

Nothing is paid before your in-person consultation. After it, you receive a written plan and a written price, and nothing is opened, injected or switched on until you have both. If the figure at the clinic differs from the figure you were quoted before you flew, you may walk away without paying anything — that is the arrangement, not a favour.

Why it matters to you: it moves the risk of a wrong number off you. The clinic is the one that has to get it right the first time.

05 · What we do not do, we say we do not do

Surgery is not performed here. Cases that need an operation, or that turn out to be a skin disease rather than a cosmetic concern, are referred to one of five partner hospital departments. Prices are not published as a table, because a figure without an examination would be a guess presented as a commitment — so what is published is how a price is built, and what happens if it turns out wrong.

Why it matters to you: a clinic’s boundaries tell you more than its menu. Anyone can add a service to a website. The three scopes — what is done here, what is done by a partner hospital, and what is neither — are set out in one place on the services page.

The network around the clinic

We work alongside five hospital departments in Nanjing. They are partners, not branches, and not part of this clinic:

Between them these departments list 33 named physicians, and some of those physicians also practise at this clinic — the rosters are shared rather than separate. Each department is described on its own page, with the facts attributed to the hospital that published them. When a case is beyond what is done here, that is where it goes.

What we publish, and why

Three things on this site exist because they can be checked rather than believed.

Clinical records. Before-and-after images are of patients of this clinic, published with written consent, unretouched, and labelled with the clinic’s name beneath each image. Each pair sits beside a written record — skin type, what was planned, what the physician recorded, and whether the treatment left pigment behind. How we work explains that structure, including the fact that the field names vary because the records were written over years.

Process, in order. Your journey is eight steps with the boring parts written down — what is paid when, who meets you at the airport, what happens at month eight after you have gone home.

Prices, stated as permitted. Publishing prices and charges on a clinic’s own site is permitted under the rules governing medical advertising in China. So the pricing page sets out how a figure is built and what a written quotation includes, and leaves the numbers to the quotation itself.

What we are not

We are not the cheapest, and we are not trying to be. If the lowest possible price is the deciding factor, better to know that now than after booking a flight.

We are not a package-tour operator. The clinic arranges what it says it arranges — transfer, a coordinator, an in-person review before departure — and travel and hotels outside that arrangement are yours to book.

We are not a hospital. Cases needing surgery or a specialist workup go to the partner departments, and it is those hospitals that then treat you.

We are not for everyone. Some people are advised against treatment, and some are told to come back in a year. A consultation that cannot produce that answer is not a consultation.
