The hospital departments we work with in Nanjing

Our own physicians here handle injectables, energy-based treatment and medical skin care. Some of what our patients need goes beyond that — major aesthetic surgery, medical dermatology, care that needs a hospital-grade facility — so we work with five hospital departments in Nanjing. This page says who they are and what each one is for; each has its own page describing its department and the physicians it publishes.

This page is about five hospital departments Luowei works with. Each is an independent department: what is written about one comes from what it publishes about itself, and its facilities, figures, credentials and photographs are its own. The physicians are the shared part of the partnership: some of the doctors named on these pages also work at Luowei, alongside our own medical team.

Five departments, and what each one is for

They are not alternatives to each other and they are not ranked. Four of the five run departments called “medical aesthetics”; that is a common department name in Chinese hospitals and it does not mean the four do the same thing. The descriptions below are what each department publishes about itself.

Each entry below carries a photograph the hospital publishes of its own building or campus, and the line beneath each English name is that hospital's name as it appears on the building itself — the line to show if you are ever asking for it in person.

Partner 01 Aesthetic surgery

Nanjing BenQ Medical Center

Medical Aesthetics Department · Grade 3A general hospital

The department we refer into for higher-grade procedures: anesthesiology, inpatient beds, pathology and emergency cover on site. It performs Class III and Class IV aesthetic surgery, and runs its own dermatology and laser service.

It publishes a team of 36 across two divisions, and names Dr Wu Haixia as its specialist.

Partner 02 Medical dermatology

A teaching-hospital dermatology department established more than fifty years ago, handling skin disease, sexually transmitted infection, dermatological surgery and cosmetic dermatology. It is where medical skin problems are worked up — the diagnostic side rather than the aesthetic side.

It publishes a roster of eighteen physicians and gives three of them a public profile. The rest we list by name and rank only, and that page says why.

Partner 03 Aesthetic surgery

Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University

Medical Aesthetics Centre · Grade 3 general hospital, Jiangbei New Area

A twelve-person centre working across aesthetic surgery, aesthetic dermatology and aesthetic Chinese medicine, on the first floor of the outpatient building. Its published range runs from routine eye and nose surgery to intimate surgery, hair transplantation and breast reconstruction.

One of the six physicians it publishes is a professor in dermatological surgery with a named workstation at the hospital; another's profile covers thyroid and breast oncology as well as aesthetics, which that page flags.

Partner 04 Aesthetic surgery

The smallest of the five: three physicians, all named and all published. It covers routine eye, nose and breast surgery alongside injectable and minimally invasive work, and states that it set up and leads a Jiangsu centre for managing complications from minimally invasive injectable procedures.

It publishes research figures of its own — more than ten SCI papers and more than thirty aesthetic-medicine GCP trials. That page explains why those numbers are printed next to a warning rather than in a statistics block.

Partner 05 Aesthetic surgery and dermatology

Four sub-disciplines — aesthetic dermatology, aesthetic surgery, aesthetic Chinese medicine and plastic surgery — on the third floor of the hospital's outpatient building. Alongside routine surgery it publishes a revision band: eyelid and nasal revision, ear deformity repair and aesthetic closure of traumatic wounds.

Five physicians are published, each with a stated scope. Their profiles mix academic offices with manufacturer-issued certifications; that page separates the two rather than reproducing one merged list.

Where the partnership ends

It is worth being precise about the boundary, because a page like this can easily read as a claim that the partner departments are ours, or that everything on it happened at Luowei. Neither is true.

Luowei is a medical institution with its own physicians, and none of the five departments above is one of ours. The images and the published information on this page and the pages it links to are the partner departments' own: their buildings, their published figures, their photographs, their device lists. The physicians are the shared part of the partnership — some of them also work at Luowei — and each one is described here as their department publishes them.
Major surgery is delivered by the partner department's own team — its surgeons and its anaesthesiology team, arranged with the department. Which team, and which facility, is confirmed with you in writing before anything is booked.
We have not independently verified any department's published figures, including staff counts, device lists, research numbers, society positions, the physician rosters and the regulatory status of individual devices. Where two published figures disagree, the department's page prints both rather than quietly choosing one.
We do not compare. This page describes five named partners. It does not argue that any department, this city or this country is better than anywhere else, and we would ask you to read nothing of the kind into it. Nor does it rank the five against each other: the numbering is a reading order, not a standing.
