Questions

Visa routes, safety, aftercare, payment and what happens if something goes wrong after you fly home.

Before you write to us

Most of what people ask falls into a handful of questions, and almost all of them are answered by where the money goes, what happens if the plan changes, and what the clinic actually does. Those three come first. The rest is below, grouped by what you are trying to decide.

If your question is not here, ask it in the consultation — it is free, and a straight answer about whether treatment is appropriate for you at all is more useful than a page of reassurances.

The money

Do I pay anything before I arrive?

No. There is no deposit to reserve your slot and no prepayment. You pay at the clinic, after your in-person consultation and before treatment begins. Nothing on this site asks for card details.

What if the price at the clinic is different from what I was quoted?

Tell us. You may walk away without paying anything — that is the arrangement, not a favour. The written quotation is the figure you pay, and if something additional turns out to be needed mid-treatment, the work stops and you get a written addition to agree or decline.

Is there a different price for patients from abroad?

No. The figure does not depend on where you flew in from, and there is no second schedule kept for people who arrived from overseas. Same treatment, same price, same written quotation.

Are there agency fees or commissions on top?

No. You deal with the clinic, and the quotation is the clinic’s own. There is no intermediary markup inside the price.

Can I stop a programme halfway?

A programme is priced as one plan so the total is fixed before you start. What you are protected against mid-way is creep: nothing is opened, injected or switched on that was not in the plan, anything additional arrives as a written addition you can agree or decline, and declining an addition does not cost you the rest of the programme. You pay for the plan you agreed to, not for whatever gets suggested along the way.

Do you offer discounts or promotions?

No. The quotation does not move with the season, the booking channel, or how quickly you decide — the same plan examined on the same day gets the same number. A figure that exists in order to be discounted was never the price; if a number can drop by half when you hesitate, it is worth asking what the first number was for.

What payment methods do you accept, and in which currency?

The quotation states the currency and the amount, and accepted methods are confirmed with you and written into the quotation before you travel — so there is no question at the desk on the day. If you plan to pay by an overseas card, tell the coordinator when you book so it can be checked in advance rather than discovered on arrival.

Can I cancel or move my appointment?

Yes. Tell us at least 72 hours before your appointment and you owe nothing — there is nothing to refund, because you have not paid anything. Moving a date costs nothing; the earlier you tell the coordinator, the more of the physician’s time can be released to someone else.

Deciding whether to come

How do I know the device or the product is genuine?

You check it yourself, at the moment it matters. Two things happen in front of you before anything is used: the manufacturer’s code on the handpiece is checked against that device’s registration, and the registration on the vial or syringe is read with the batch visible on the packaging. If a code does not resolve, or the packaging does not match what was quoted, treatment stops there and nothing is charged.

Who actually performs the treatment?

The physician who consulted you — not a technician, and not whoever happens to be free that day. Their registration can be looked up on China’s National Health Commission public registry, and we will send you the number and the lookup link before you book so you can confirm it independently.

What if I need surgery?

Then it is not done here. The work at this clinic is non-surgical: injectables, regenerative treatment, energy-based devices and medical skin care. If your case needs surgery, or turns out to be a skin disease rather than a cosmetic concern, the physician refers you to one of the five partner hospital departments rather than treating it here.

How many days do I need in Nanjing?

A common shape for a first visit is three days: arrive and consult, treat and recover, then a final review before departure. There is no general anaesthetic and no recovery period that keeps you indoors — you are not bed-bound and not waiting for swelling to settle before you can be seen in public. Most people are back at work within days of flying home.

Whether your plan is done in one trip depends on the treatment rather than on the calendar, and that is settled at the consultation, not on arrival.

How to block the days — what to book in what order, and which hours to leave empty on purpose — is on planning a treatment trip.

Do you treat men?

Yes. The assessment, the treatment and the written quotation are the same for every patient. What the consultation decides is whether a treatment is appropriate for your skin — not who it is for.

Is there anyone who should not be treated?

Sometimes yes, and the consultation is where that is decided — not a marketing page. Pregnancy and breastfeeding, certain medications, and some active skin conditions change what is appropriate or rule some treatments out entirely. Giving the physician your full medical history at the video consultation is the cheapest possible way to find out, and an honest “this is not for you” is a real possible outcome of it — that is what the free consultation is for.

Can I combine this with a business trip?

Yes, and a number of patients do. If you are already in China for work, the final leg is short: Nanjing is about an hour and a quarter from Shanghai by high-speed rail and a little over three hours from Beijing, and Nanjing Lukou International Airport has direct flights from six Southeast Asian cities — Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Jakarta, Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.

Visas and entry

Do I need a medical visa?

China has no separate medical visa category. We work through the M / L / F routes and will tell you which one fits your reason for travelling, and what the clinic can lawfully issue to support it.

Will you guarantee my visa?

No, and no clinic can. Apply about one month ahead; processing usually takes four to five working days, but the decision belongs to the Chinese authorities and an application is never guaranteed. Entry rules also differ by passport and change without published notice — your own embassy’s page always beats ours.

Can you send an invitation letter?

The clinic can issue what it is lawfully able to issue for the route that applies to you, and we will tell you plainly which documents those are. What we do not do is tell you that a document is sufficient, or that entry will follow from it.

Where do I read the routes themselves?

On visas and entry for a treatment trip — what each route covers, the documents it asks for, how the visa-free and transit-free frameworks work, and the order to do things in. The practical side of arriving — payments, data, transport, language — is on China on the ground.

After treatment

What happens after I fly home?

You are reviewed in person before departure, given written aftercare instructions in a language you can act on, and followed up online for twelve months. The schedule is fixed at the outset rather than left to you to chase — a first check-in at two weeks, then reviews at one month, three months, six months and twelve months, with a physician who examined you reviewing progress from photographs and video calls.

Between those points you can write at any time. The point of the twelve months is that the answer does not depend on remembering to ask.

Who do I contact if something worries me?

The clinic directly, through the channel you are given in writing before you fly — not a general enquiry form. If something needs to be looked at in person, you will be told so plainly rather than talked out of it, and if it needs a specialty the clinic does not cover, that is where the partner hospital departments come in.

What if something goes wrong later — how is it handled?

Your record and the aftercare instructions are handed over in writing before you leave, and the specifics of who you contact and what the clinic does next are set out in that treatment record rather than summarised on a marketing page. We would rather you read the actual terms than a reassurance written for a web page.

Will my own doctor at home understand what was done?

Yes — that is what the record is for. You leave with the treatment record, the products used and the plan, in a form a physician at home can read, so follow-up happens on facts rather than on your recollection of what you were told.

What is there to do in Nanjing besides the clinic days?

Quite a lot — the treatment rhythm leaves room for it. The clinic day is a clinic day and the rest is yours: our Nanjing travel guide covers the walled old town, Purple Mountain, the food, and a three-day shape that puts the treatment day in the middle rather than on top of a march across the city. What you can comfortably do after treatment is governed by your written aftercare instructions, not by the itinerary.

Talking to us

How quickly do you reply?

We reply by email, and we answer in English. Write outside our working hours and you will hear from us the next working morning.

Do I speak to a physician or to a sales coordinator?

The video consultation is with the physician who would perform your treatment. That is the point of it: you describe what concerns you and get an honest answer about whether treatment is appropriate for you at all — including when the answer is no, or not yet.

When is treatment actually scheduled?

After your in-person examination, when the plan and the written quotation are both in front of you. Nothing is booked on the strength of a video call alone, because the clinical assessment is what the plan is built on.

Can I bring someone with me?

Yes. A partner, a friend or a family member is welcome at the consultation and at the follow-up review. Consultation is in Mandarin, with professional translation devices providing real-time interpretation if you speak another language; if the person coming with you speaks Mandarin and English, that is useful too, but it is not required.

If your question is about something else

Two pages answer most of what is left: your journey walks through the eight steps in order — including what you receive at each one — and pricing sets out how a figure is built and what is included in a written quotation.

If neither covers it, the free video consultation is the fastest route to an answer, and it commits you to nothing. You will leave it with a written figure to think about, whether or not you decide to come.
