When will the physician decline to proceed with treatment directly?

Any pigmented spot showing ABCDE irregularities (asymmetry / irregular border / uneven color / diameter>6mm / recent change) → Must be referred to dermatology for biopsy first. This is not a deflection — it is a physician’s professional duty. Treating a potentially malignant lesion with laser would be a catastrophic mistake.

How should we care for our skin during the crusting phase?

(1) Do not pick or peel — allow crusts to shed naturally over 5–7 days; (2) Cleanse gently without rubbing; (3) Use B5/ceramide-based barrier-repair skincare; (4) Apply mineral SPF 50+ strictly (avoid chemical sunscreen over crusted areas); (5) For 14 days, avoid acids, exfoliating treatments, and saunas.
