What Is ONDA PRO?
ONDA PRO is a microwave contouring platform from DEKA, Italy, built on patented CoolWaves® technology— operating at 2.45 GHz with up to 200 W. Microwaves are a different energy type from radiofrequency or ultrasound: they pass through the nerve-rich surface layers with minimal absorption, delivering energy to the subcutaneous fat layer and dermal collagen.
This generation carries three handpieces: DEEP (1.2 cm) for deeper fat, SHALLOW (0.7 cm) for superficial fat and cellulite, and POCKET (3 mm) designed for facial firming — body and face on one platform.
How CoolWaves® Microwaves Work
2.45 GHz microwaves pass through the surface and reach the subcutaneous layer. Three targets: adipocyte membranes, the septae between fat lobules, dermal collagen. Two depths, one session.
A built-in temperature sensor and continuous contact cooling bring tissue to 40–43 °C while holding the skin surface below 40–41 °C. Hence: typically no anaesthesia. We won’t say painless, though — sensitivity varies, and settings follow your feedback.

An honest note: it is not for everyone
Pregnancy and breastfeeding, implanted electronic devices such as pacemakers, or active infection in the treatment area rule it out; sometimes we will advise waiting, a different route, or not treating at all. Rather than publish a generic list, we assess against the manufacturer’s clinical guidance and your history at consultation — and if it is not right for you, we will say so plainly.
The same looseness can come from collagen loss, descending fat, or laxity of the deeper supporting structures — same appearance, entirely different answers. The final judgment belongs in the consultation room.

The POCKET 3 mm handpiece works the facial dermis — firming the lower face, refining the jawline and V-line — while the fat layer under the chin is addressed in the same plan: firming and contour together. Gradual and natural, not a facelift.
Localised body fat · contour
Stubborn localised fat on the abdomen, flanks, thighs and hips — the DEEP 1.2 cm handpiece reaches deep subcutaneous fat. This is not weight loss: it reshapes contour, not the scale, and suits people at a stable weight.
Cellulite
Dimpling on the thighs and buttocks comes from the septae between fat lobules. Microwaves act directly on those septae — the best-evidenced indication for this technology.
Body skin laxity
Loose skin and texture on the abdomen, arms and thighs. Dermal heating drives collagen contraction and renewal, often in the same session as fat or cellulite work.
