What are the main risks?
1. Bruising / swelling(common; resolves in 3–7 days); 2. Injection-site pain or tenderness (well tolerated); 3. In very rare cases, vascular occlusion (<0.1%, mitigated through anatomical knowledge, blunt cannulas, and aspiration); 4. Asymmetry (correctable with touch-up injections); 5. Filler migration / nodules (rare; dissolvable with hyaluronidase); 6. Botox® — unnatural expression (typically self-resolving within 4–6 weeks).
Who should absolutely not have this treatment?
Pregnancy, breastfeeding, active autoimmune disease flare, severe coagulation disorder without medication pause, active facial infection, known allergy to hyaluronic acid or Botox® components, severe skeletal deformity requiring surgical evaluation, and unrealistic expectations (believing a single session can completely transform the face) — in any of these situations, our physician will recommend postponing treatment or addressing the underlying concern first.
How can risks be minimized?
5 Key Safety Principles: (1) Bone structure analysis and anatomical assessment are mandatory before any injection; (2) Cannulas are used in high-risk areas; (3) Treatment is staged — never performed in large volumes at once; (4) Avoid aspirin, fish oil, vitamin E and alcohol for 7 days before treatment; (5) Apply cold compresses within 48 hours post-treatment, avoid strenuous activity, do not massage the treated area, and return for a follow-up immediately if any abnormality occurs.
What does the informed consent form include?
Every client is required to sign an informed consent form before their first treatment. This covers: how the treatment works, possible adverse reactions and their likelihood, alternative options, emergency protocols, follow-up scheduling, and an optional Media Release. All content is explained in person by our physician — not delegated to administrative staff.
