Nanjing International Hospital is the affiliated hospital of Nanjing University Medical School, in Nanjing's Jianye District. Its Medical Aesthetics Department occupies part of the third floor of the hospital's outpatient building, and divides its work into four sub-disciplines: aesthetic dermatology, aesthetic surgery, aesthetic Chinese medicine, and plastic surgery. The department describes itself as one that combines medical treatment with service.
Routine work and revision work, in the same department
The department publishes two bands of work. The first is routine aesthetic surgery — double-eyelid surgery, eye-bag surgery, rhinoplasty, liposuction and fat grafting, breast augmentation. The second is the harder end: revision of previous eyelid and nasal surgery, repair of ear deformity, aesthetic closure of traumatic wounds, and wound repair.
That second band is the reason the department's hospital setting matters. Revision work is unpredictable by nature — what has to be done is decided by what was done before — and it is the kind of surgery where inpatient care or a second opinion from another specialty is most likely to be needed at short notice.

The department also states that it divides its own work into aesthetic dermatology, aesthetic surgery, aesthetic Chinese medicine and plastic surgery, and that the physicians below practise across those four areas. The split above is the procedure list, not the sub-discipline list — the department publishes the two separately and we have not merged them into a diagram the hospital did not draw.
The five physicians it publishes
Five physicians are listed for this department, each with a photograph, a rank, a list of positions and a stated scope. All five are below. They are the department's, named and ranked as the hospital publishes them. The photographs are the hospital's own portraits, on plain backgrounds; no hospital name is burned into any of them.
Two things about the lists below are worth reading before you scan them. First, the positions are long, and they are reproduced because the hospital publishes them — not because we have checked them. Second, some of them are not professional-society posts at all. The hospital's list mixes academic offices with certifications issued by device and injectable manufacturers, and the two are not the same kind of thing. Where we could tell them apart, this page says so.

The profile states five patented techniques and multiple papers in core and national journals.
Positions the hospital publishes include committee roles in the eye-surgery and nasal-surgery branches of the Chinese endoscopic and minimally invasive plastic surgery alliance, membership of the Jiangsu aesthetic and plastic surgery association, and roles in eye surgery and aesthetic design. The same list also carries appointments described as issued by named facial-implant manufacturers — including one phrased as a senior appointment at a manufacturer-run rhinoplasty institute. The same list names several certifications issued by laser and injectable manufacturers, including one describing her as certified across a manufacturer's full laser range. The hospital lists these alongside the academic posts; they are not the same kind of credential. A manufacturer's certification records training on that company's product. Where the partnership ends
A page like this can easily read as a claim that this department is ours, or that everything on it happened at Luowei. Neither is true.
- These are the department's physicians. The names, ranks, positions, stated scope and photographs on this page belong to Nanjing International Hospital, and are reproduced as the hospital publishes them.
- Major surgery is delivered by the partner department's own team — its surgeons and its anaesthesiology team, arranged with the department. Which team, and which facility, is confirmed with you in writing before anything is booked.
- We have not independently verified what the hospital publishes, including the positions listed for each physician, the stated research records and the department's own description of itself. A long list of committee positions is not evidence about a surgeon's results, and we are not presenting it as any.
- Two things were left out, deliberately, and here they are. The department's own page says it has long led this field; that sentence is not reproduced, because it is a claim of superiority and we have no way to check it. And the profiles mix professional-society offices with manufacturer-issued certifications; this page keeps them apart and does not reproduce the brand names, because a vendor's certification is not an academic qualification and reading the two as one list would overstate it. Both omissions are stated here rather than left for you to notice.
