Tear Trough Filler

1. Bruising / swelling(mild to moderate, common, resolves within 3–7 days); 2. Tyndall blue-light band (Tyndall effect)(moderate risk in thin Asian skin) — significantly reduced through deep supraperiosteal injection with a blunt cannula; if it occurs, it can be dissolved immediately with Hylenex; 3. Asymmetry(a follow-up visit for minor adjustment resolves this); 4. In rare cases,vascular occlusion(blunt cannula + slow injection technique + aspiration significantly reduces this risk); 5. extremely rare allergic reactions; 6. duration of results varies by individual (8–18 months).

Pregnancy, breastfeeding, active periocular infection, active herpes simplex outbreak, active autoimmune disease, ongoing anticoagulant medication, severe keloid tendency that has not been assessed, and unrealistic expectations (believing a single injection can eliminate dark circles) — in any of these situations, our physician will recommend postponing treatment or exploring alternative options.

6 core principles: (1) strict Deep supraperiosteal injection rather than subcutaneous; (2) a 27G blunt cannula as the primary instrument, with sharp needles reserved for specific entry points only; (3) slow, steady injection with simultaneous massage to shape the filler; (4) a maximum of 0.05–0.1 mL per point — less is always more; (5) aspiration throughout to monitor for vascular proximity; (6) Hylenex kept on-site at all times, enabling dissolution within 5 minutes if needed.

Every client is required to sign an Informed Consent Form before their first injection. The form covers: filler composition and brand, injection mechanism, potential adverse reactions and their likelihood, vascular occlusion emergency protocol, alternative options, maintenance interval, and Media Release (optional). All content is explained in person by our physician — never delegated to administrative staff.
