What Is Vbeam® Vascular Laser Treatment?
Vbeam®Vbeam® vascular laser treatment uses a 595 nm pulsed dye laser (PDL) — a wavelength selectively absorbed by oxyhemoglobin in the blood vessel wall. The laser energy causes the targeted vessel to coagulate and collapse, which the body then naturally reabsorbs over time. The result is a visible reduction in unwanted vessels and an improvement in overall skin tone. The procedure is non-invasive, virtually painless, and requires minimal downtime.
Device Technical Specifications
- Device Manufacturer: Candela
- Mechanism of Action: Selective Photothermolysis + Targeted Pigment / Vessels / Water
Vbeam® How Vbeam® Vascular Laser Treatment Works
Vbeam®Concentrated bursts of light energy are delivered to targeted blood vessels. Hemoglobin within the vessels absorbs this energy and converts it into heat, causing the vessel walls to coagulate and close. The treated vessels are then gradually reabsorbed by the body, and their appearance at the skin surface fades over time. The built-in Dynamic Cooling Device™ releases a cooling mist before each pulse to protect the surrounding skin tissue.
Post-Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation (PIH) Risk Management
- Wood’s lamp Diagnosis— Identify pigment type to determine energy level and wavelength
- Fitzpatrick Assessment— III–V Low-energy protocol for this Asian skin type
- High-risk candidates: test spot first— Patch test before proceeding with full-face treatment
Am I a Candidate for Vbeam® Vascular Laser Treatment?
You may be a good candidate if you have: visible facial or leg vessels (spider veins or small varicosities); mild vascular swelling or discomfort; telangiectasia, facial redness, or other vascular skin concerns; or a preference for a safe, non-surgical approach to improving vascular issues.
Fitzpatrick × our physician’s Protocol
Assessing PIH risk and energy protocol:
| Fitzpatrick | Skin tone | Risk | Protocol |
|---|---|---|---|
| II–III | Fair skin | Low | Standard Energy Level |
| III | Light Asian skin tones | Medium | Medium Energy |
| IV | Typical Asian | Moderate–High | Low energy + 6-week pre-treatment conditioning |
| V | Deeper Asian / South Asian skin tones | High | Ultra-low energy + test spot |
Vbeam®Vbeam® Vascular Laser Treatment Process
Each session begins with a consultation and vascular assessment. The treatment area is cleansed and protective eyewear is worn. Our physician uses the Vbeam® handpiece to deliver precise pulses to the targeted vessels. Before each pulse, the built-in Dynamic Cooling Device (DCD) automatically sprays a burst of cryogen to protect the surrounding skin. A soothing post-care product is applied at the end of the session. The entire procedure takes approximately 15–30 minutes.

What these references can and cannot tell you. They describe what is known about the treatment itself — how well it tends to work, how long results last, and what can go wrong. They are not an assessment of this clinic, and no published study can tell you whether it suits your skin type, anatomy, or medical history. That judgement comes from the physician who examines you in person, and it may well be “not this one”.
